Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne (pronounced [pa:dUkoborn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Hindi film productions. Padukone is among the actresses with the highest salaries in India Her awards include three Filmfare Awards. She is featured in the lists of some of America's top celebrities; Time named her one of the 100 most influential individuals in the world in the year 2018 and gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone was the daughter to tennis champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. At the age of 13, Padukone competed in badminton championships, including national competitions. In the end, she quit her sport in pursuit of a job as a fashion stylist. Soon after, she was offered film roles and started her acting career in the year 2006, playing the title character of The Kannada movie, Aishwarya. Padukone was paired with Shah Rukh Khan a dual part in Om Shanti Om, her first Bollywood film that brought her the Filmfare Award as Best Female Debut.
