Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. In 1996, she made her debut as a actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. After a difficult fight, she landed a role in the 'Starship Troopers' series the film Starship Troopers. It was difficult for her to transition into acting since models weren't considered an actor, so they generally were offered less parts. Amy did not give up and she eventually landed larger roles in films Varsity Blues and The 70s. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also included Ryan Reynolds, saw her take on some more notable role. The film was a major box office success and Amy was finally able to get the fame she had been trying for for more than a decade. Amy went on to star in major films including the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
