Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling career in Italy. Her acting career began in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After a very difficult struggle to get a part, she was offered a role as "Starship Troopers" the film Starship Troopers. In the beginning, it was difficult for her to switch from modelling to acting. It's because the majority of models aren't good actors. In the majority of cases, they're given insignificant and small role. Amy was determined to succeed and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. She then ventured into the main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she'd been seeking for nearly 10 years, when her movie just Friends debuted. She continued with important films, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was an adored recurring character.
