Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk - an academic and Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actor, writer, director and producer. Anna Silk's father is British, as is her mother, a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother working in rehearsals for plays. At the beginning of her career, Anna appeared on several commercials for television. Anna relocated to Toronto so that her acting skills could improve. In the following years, she relocated Los Angeles. Anna came across Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actor's workshop in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in 2009. They were married in a civil ceremony that was held in December, and then renewed their vows in a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April 2011, following Anna's conversion to Judaism.
