Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson has been an American actor for a long time. Elson began her career on TV as a child model and actress. Her most famous role was Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson in CBS' science fiction series. Andrea auditioned and won the part in the role of Lynn Tanner on the hit ALF ALF (1986). Andrea was on the show for a number of years on various television shows and Movies of the week before she decided to retire from the entertainment business. Andrea Elson's character, Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teen daughter was a difficult one for her. People wrote an article in where Elson outlined how hard it was to become an actress in her early years and to be in the sitcom. Green-eyed Elson was born in New York City on March 6th 1970. She grew to be a traveling actress because her father had a job as an advertising executive. Prior to turning ten, old, she lived throughout New York Chicago San Diego as well as Los Angeles. Andrea was living in San Diego when she met an agent. The part for which she had auditioned for was awarded. Fusco was in favor of the idea saying, "ALF can drink beer due to the fact that he's over 285." As ALF started to become becoming more famous, NBC said that Fusco would not be able to continue having ALF drinking beer with the kids. It was considered a bad role for a role model. Fusco was of the opinion that ALF had the maturity to drive drunk, wasn't right. In 1995, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. The cancer was successfully treated and remained in remission until 2019. In June of 2019, aged 75, he passed away from cancer at the Lillian Booth Actors Home located in Englewood, New Jersey.
